After the end of the year holidays, 295,935 people will take the University Selection Tests (PSU), within the framework of the 2020 Admission Process of the Single Admission System (SUA) of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH).
The executive vice president of CRUCH, Aldo Valle, highlighted that the surrender of the PSUs is “a civic act that fills us with pride, because it is a milestone that involves a nationwide deployment, in which several thousand students will participate simultaneously. , to carry out an impartial and transparent process that guarantees public faith in access to higher education ”.
En este escenario, el jueves 2 de enero de 2020 el Departamento de Evaluación, Medición y Registro Educacional (DEMRE) de la U. de Chile publicará los locales de rendición de las PSU en todo el país. En esos mismos recintos se desarrollará el reconocimiento de salas el domingo 5 de enero, entre las 17.00 y las 19.00 horas
Posteriormente, y tal como se anunció en noviembre, el lunes 6 de enero se rendirán la PSU de Lenguaje y Comunicación, a las 9.00 horas, y la prueba optativa de Ciencias, desde las 14.30 horas. Al día siguiente, el martes 7 de enero, será el turno de la PSU de Matemática (9.00 horas) y de la prueba optativa de Historia, Geografía y Ciencias Sociales (14.30 horas).

Recommendations for rendering PSUs
Los y las postulantes deben presentarse a rendir las PSU portando solo su documento de identificación, su tarjeta de identificación (descargable desde el Portal del Estudiante, https://psu.demre.cl/), un lápiz grafito Nº 2 o portaminas HB y goma de borrar. Opcionalmente podrá ingresar, además, con un destacador y una botella con agua.
Se recomienda imprimir anticipadamente la tarjeta de identificación y tener su cédula de identidad actualizada y en buenas condiciones. En caso de extravío de la tarjeta de identificación los días de rendición de las PSU, se debe plantear la situación al jefe/a de local y pedir gratuitamente una copia del documento.

Application, selection and enrollment
Luego de la rendición de las PSU, el martes 28 de enero, a las 08.00 horas, se publicarán sus resultados en el Portal del Postulante. Ese mismo día, desde las 09.00 horas, se iniciará la etapa de postulaciones a las carreras que ofrecen las 41 universidades que integran el SUA. Este proceso se extenderá hasta las 18.00 horas del viernes 31 de enero.
