The objective of this Program is to train researchers capable of carrying out scientific and / or technological work of the highest level in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering offers advanced training with solid knowledge in research areas and the opportunity to consolidate the capacity for independent exploration and the generation of cutting-edge knowledge.
Applicant Profile
Be in possession of a bachelor's or master's degree in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering in a discipline of Mechanical Engineering or related. Each applicant, in addition to the documentation and letters of recommendation requested by the Postgraduate Directorate, must attach a personal presentation letter indicating their motivation and research interests. The academic background will be studied by the Program Committee. Eventually the Committee may request a personal interview with the applicant.
Graduate profile
The Doctor in Mechanical Engineering from USM is capable of understanding, analyzing, evaluating, developing and innovating in solving problems in the disciplinary field of Mechanical Engineering. In addition, he has skills such as independence, rigor and scientific discipline, critical spirit, creativity, which enable him to generate new knowledge.
