goals
The program's mission is to contribute to regional and national development, promoting and strengthening scientific research in mathematics, led by an academic body made up of researchers of excellence and high productivity. Its objective is to train graduates of the highest level, qualified to carry out original, independent and cutting-edge scientific research, being able to contribute to mathematical training at all levels, with a solid specialization in any of the research lines of the program.
Applicant Profile
Chilean or foreign, who are in possession of the Magister degree or an equivalent professional title, of at least 5 years duration, in the field of their own disciplines or related to this, may apply to the Program leading to the Degree of Doctor in Mathematics Program.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics possesses the knowledge, skills and aptitudes to:
Independently project, formulate and execute quality research in their line of specialization, in order to contribute to knowledge in mathematics.
Integrate work teams, for the generation of new knowledge.
Develop their work in the perspective of the ethical standards of the discipline.
