goals
General objective To train high-level specialists trained to develop advanced research and innovation in areas of Engineering Sciences related to energy systems, computer simulation systems and / or complex operations management systems, contributing to the optimization of products, processes and services in the industrial sector.
Specific objectives
-Generate scientific knowledge in areas of Engineering Sciences related to energy systems, computer simulation systems and / or complex operations management systems.
-Develop advanced research and innovation in the area of Engineering Sciences through complex scientific tools that promote the experimental development of systems.
-Deliver the capabilities that allow modeling, simulation, implementation and optimization of engineering systems using computational tools.
Applicant Profile
The Doctorate in Engineering Systems is aimed at graduates, professionals or masters in the area of Engineering Sciences who are capable of demonstrating an academic and / or professional career related to the field of knowledge and specialization of the applicant.
In addition, applicants must accredit academic excellence in undergraduate and graduate degrees (if applicable) and present English language proficiency at an appropriate level for the development of the academic activities of the Program.
Graduate profile
The Doctor in Engineering Systems from the University of Talca will be able to:
- Apply knowledge and skills related to the optimization of products, processes and services in engineering systems, in any of their areas of specialization: energy systems, computer simulation systems and / or complex systems in operations management, to contribute to the development scientific and industrial at national and international level.
-Design and execute research projects, according to scientific standards in the area, that propose creative and innovative solutions to complex problems in the field of Engineering Sciences.
-Apply scientific and academic dissemination procedures with the purpose of transferring knowledge to the community derived from its results and research advances.
-Participate in multidisciplinary teams, national and international, with the aim of contributing to scientific advancement in the area.
-Contribute to the training of specialized research personnel, contributing to the development of research centers and higher education institutions.
