goals

1. To train highly qualified researchers, capable of generating autonomous knowledge from a solid methodological and disciplinary training in Legal Sciences.
2. Provide the doctoral students of the program with the legal research methodology and knowledge of different disciplines of law to develop research with excellence in the field of legal sciences, contributing to the advancement of legal knowledge and reflection.

Applicant Profile

To apply for the Doctorate Program in Law, it is required to have a Bachelor of Legal Sciences or Law, or its equivalent obtained abroad.

Graduate profile

The Doctor of Law graduated from the Doctorate in Law of the University of Talca will be characterized by:
1) Rigorously use doctrine, jurisprudence, sources of law and comparative law, as well as the use of legal research techniques to propose and develop innovative solutions to the legal problems investigated. This is credited with the modules developed in the first four quarters, the publication of an article in an indexed journal on law and the formulation and approval of your doctoral thesis project.
2) Transmit rigorously, in written and oral format, the results obtained from their own research. This is accredited through the process of preparation and approval of your doctoral thesis.
3) Contribute their knowledge and methodology as a high-level researcher in national and international academic entities.

-Fundamental rights, international systems for the protection of human rights and control of conventionality
-Foundations of the punitive and sanctioning power of the State
-Collective and individual right to work
-Private property law and civil liability
-Family law, rights of the people, rights of children and adolescents
-Jurisdictional law and recursive systems
-Alternative means of dispute resolution and arbitration
-Sources of Law
-Principles and methods of legal interpretation of domestic law and international law.
