goals
The general objective of the Doctoral program in Agri-Food Sciences and the Environment is to train scientists capable of responding to the growing demand for science, research and innovation in areas that together support the agri-food sector, the interrelationships of man and his environment, which contribute to well-being human in general.
Applicant Profile
Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in disciplines related to agri-food, forestry, biological sciences and others related to these topics.
Graduate profile
The Doctor in Agri-Food Sciences and the Environment trained at the University of La Frontera is a postgraduate with skills to perform in (1) management and innovation in production processes, (2) design and execution of research programs and projects, and (3) ) design of sustainable agri-food systems. He has training in basic environmental sciences and agri-food systems, in production processes, biotechnological applications, technological innovation, design and optimization of agri-food value chains, leadership and entrepreneurship, and environmental conservation.
His training enables him to develop basic and applied research in agri-food production; create and evaluate sustainable agri-food processes; develop technological innovation in the area of agri-food production; and diagnose problems and design solutions that reconcile agri-food production and the conservation and preservation of the environment.
