The purpose of the Doctoral Program in Chemistry is to train graduates of the highest level, capable of directing and conducting independently, original research whose results constitute a substantial contribution to scientific and technological knowledge in this discipline.
Applicant Profile
People who have a degree or professional title in the field of Chemistry, whose level, content and duration of the studies correspond to a training equivalent to that of the Bachelor's degree from the University of Chile, may apply to the Program. . Likewise, those who are in possession of a Master's degree in the field of Chemistry, from this or another University, that ensures satisfactory training for the purposes of the Program, which will be qualified by the Academic Committee.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Doctorate in Chemistry is a specialized researcher with a broad conceptual, theoretical and experimental knowledge of the chemical sciences.
It is expected that they collaborate to develop university and / or productive academic activity at the highest level, in such a way that they become effective promoters of the development of the discipline, both in its basic aspects and in its applications.
