goals
• The Doctorate program in Engineering Sciences with a mention in Biochemical Engineering, is a postgraduate program whose mission is to train graduates of the highest academic level in the discipline of Biochemical Engineering, trained to carry out original research in a creative way. , autonomous and independent and to exercise higher teaching.
The objectives of the program are:
• The training of human resources to contribute to the development of the country through applied research, technological development and innovation in bioprocesses.
• The strengthening of a work environment for the cultivation of discipline at the highest level.
• The generation of new knowledge that contributes to the development and advancement of the discipline.
• The generation of pertinent knowledge for the technological and industrial reality of the country.
Applicant Profile
The applicant for the program must possess knowledge and personal characteristics that enable them to successfully complete the program. Its main characteristics must be:
- Undergraduate training compatible with the academic requirements of the program.
- Ability for critical analysis.
- Ease of quantitative description of various situations.
- Concern for the acquisition and generation of new knowledge.
- Constancy and dedication to study
- Conditions for experimental work
- Conditions for the practical application of theoretical principles.
- Knowledge regarding the impact of discipline on society (Understand the role that the person is going to be with respect to society).
Graduate profile
The graduate will be able to:
• Formulate and manage applied research projects, development of bioprocesses that contain elements of innovation and technology transfer.
• Autonomously develop original research in its own fields.
• Lead research groups.
• Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the discipline of biochemical engineering.
• Integrate their knowledge with those of areas such as: other specialties of engineering, biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry
