Strengthen research in Political Science in Chile and the region, training top-level academics in the areas of Comparative Politics, Political Theory and International Relations. In addition to contributing to the development of novel approaches, in theoretical and methodological terms, that allow a better understanding of current political, economic, and social dynamics

Applicant Profile

People in possession of an academic degree at the bachelor's level or higher, with a vocation to develop an academic career in the areas of International Relations, Political Theory, or Comparative Politics and a background that certifies their excellence and academic potential, as well as their integrity.

Graduate profile

Doctors in Political Science with a solid and plural theoretical-methodological training, capable of autonomously developing frontier research and teaching tasks at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The main aspects to be developed include:

Ability for critical and analytical understanding of highly complex ideas, and their communication through oral and written language.
Competence to investigate at the frontiers of the discipline and generate new knowledge autonomously.
Mastery of the stock of knowledge accumulated by Political Science, its methods and its transmission to third parties.
Competence to join the centers of elaboration and teaching of Political Science of the highest international level.
Ability to moral judgment to recognize potential conflicts of interest, projects or issues at odds with ethics, and to carry out teaching and research tasks in accordance with the intrinsic dignity of the person.
