El CRUCH acordó que se entregarán las bases de datos con el Rol Único Nacional y los resultados de los puntajes PSU, NEM y Ranking de Notas, pero sin los datos de contacto personal. También se incluirán los antecedentes académicos y sociodemográficos, es decir, establecimiento educacional, comuna y región.
“The Council of Rectors today analyzed the new information provided by some universities that participate in the Single Admission System and the Higher Education Division, and reached an agreement that allows safeguarding the protection of the personal data of those who render the PSU and, to the instead, it enables universities to have enough information to offer help and support to students during the application and enrollment process, ”said CRUCH Executive Vice President, Rector Aldo Valle.
The agreement establishes that on December 26 the databases with the Unique National Role and the results of the PSU, NEM and Grade Ranking scores will be delivered, but without personal contact information. The academic and sociodemographic background will also be included, that is, educational establishment, commune and region.
“With this alternative, the 41 universities that participate in the Single Admission System will be able to upload the bases on their respective institutional websites and, in this way, students will be able to consult their results on the universities' pages and they will be able to provide support to students in the application process, as they have done to date. Regarding the delivery of databases corresponding to the results of the application and enrollment stage, there will be no changes compared to last year, ”rector Valle said.
Indemnity agreement
In order to protect the purpose and proper use of the information of those who enroll in the 2019 Admission Process, and to safeguard any liability arising from the improper use of the data, the Board of Rectors agreed in its session today that The 41 SUA institutions must sign an indemnity agreement that protects DEMRE and the Council of Rectors from the responsibilities that may arise in the event of a possible improper use of the databases they receive.
Finally, in those cases of special admissions in which the universities require to have all the information of the students, as in the case of the Program of Accompaniment and Effective Access to Higher Education (PACE) or Ranking 850, among others, the SUA will hold an extraordinary session in the coming days with the admission delegates from all the universities to define criteria together.
