goals
To train graduates at the highest academic level, capable of independently carrying out original research whose results translate into significant contributions to the development of this field of knowledge.
Applicant Profile
1.- Possess the academic degree of Bachelor or Master in History or in related disciplines, such as: sociology, anthropology, political science, literature, philosophy or geography, obtained in Chilean or foreign universities, and that is considered equivalent or superior to the Bachelor's degree conferred by the University of Chile.
2.- Accredit prior training according to the purposes and requirements of the program, which will be duly evaluated by the Academic Committee.
3.- Prove command of a second language.
Graduate profile
The student will be able to carry out original research on historical problems, according to theoretical approaches and methodological tools of historiography that allow them to investigate them rigorously and systematically.
In another sense, the graduate will be able to incorporate the historical perspective in the analysis of the problems of society, as well as develop critical thinking and the ability to dialogue with other disciplines.
